As per the computer pro's advice, I uninstalled all FREE anti-malware programs for the new scan of malwarebytes.
After I used the normal route for uninstalling
http://www.superantispyware.com/index.html app, I noticed it in the All Programs list.
Many times those are left over, and the program is really gone.
Since this was mission-critical, I clicked on one of the listings and
it asked if I wanted to update it? GEE! I said yes and it began.
Before it ended, I hit CTRl ALT DEL and stopped the thing from finishing.
The only way I could get it uninstalled then was to either delete the program file (not in this case!) or use System Mechanic to look for it in programs not normally listed in the uninstall division.
It was there.. four listings.
I took one and did the serious search for any components, and it got the BIG BOOT (out, not up)..
So, let that be a lesson for you kidz out there!

As the computer pro said today, free spyware programs are sure death (so to speak).
I do not apply that axiom to Spybot Search and Destroy, BTW.
It rocks, but needs malwarebytes to watch its backside now and again. IMHO.
