This morning while I had Poasters open but had another app. open on top of it ( and I assumed the app. on top was the active window)
I had a system sound -alert - that indicated something had happened on the inactive window, much like the alert that a new email had arrived in Tbird.  And in fact a new thread had been started on Poasters.

While I think this is a neat feature, I'm wondering if I have simply been missing this in Win 7.  I certainly don't recall it happening on XP.

Bill, never had that on 7 Beta.
Poasters does not appear to have automatic refresh in my browsers.
Perhaps its a moderator setting for you as a moderator.

John,
I don't thinks so. Far as I know there is no auto refresh on Poasters, or at least there hasn't been.  Sort of a puzzle, maybe it was an email alert but there wasn't an alert shown, just a sound.

I doubt it was related to our forum, since it does not auto-refresh.

Bill

Do you get e-mail alerts set from Poasters website?  If so, it could have been one of those which would obviously coincide with a Poasters update?

Just speculating......
